I brought a big volume with me to Morocco since I knew I'd be involved with leadership and youth. It's called THE BOOK OF POSITIVE QUOTATIONS, 2nd Ed.
It just sat on my shelf the past year, but since I've had work trouble, I've decided just to read the thing straight through, 2 or 3 pages each day. And I underline my favorites, and decided I'll post my favorites.
- Lin Yutang
Henry Miller

Happiness comes mor from loving than being loved; and often when our affection seems wounded it is oly our vanity bleeding. To love, and to be hurt often, and to love again- this is the brave and happy life.
-JE Buchrose
The true object of all human life is play.
-GK Chesterton
Perhaps the best function of parenthood is to teach the young creature to live with safety, so that it may be able to venture unafraid when later emotion comes; the thwarting of the instinct to love is the root of all sorrow and not sex only but divnity itself is insulted when it is repressed. TO disapprove, to condemn--the human soul shrivels under barren righteousness.
